Pastry Shop
 

While the city sleeps, dough is on the rise. At the early hour of 6:00am, our pastry arts students begin their day of baking fresh breads, croissants, muffins and Danishes. Simultaneously, there is a group of students preparing freshly made cakes, tortes and individual French pastries under the guidance of our Certified Executive Pastry Chefs/Instructors. There are cookies to be baked, pie crusts to be crimped, baguettes to shape and mousse to be made. All our items are prepared daily to the highest of standards, benefiting both our Pastry Shop customers and our students' learning experience.

Enjoy a hot breakfast or a quick breakfast sandwich. A distinctive variety of pastries or traditional favorites is available all day. A comfortable atmosphere in a quaint setting allows for an enjoyable and relaxing luncheon experience. The students of The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College prepare a Bill of Fare to delight from Monday - Saturday. We invite you to enjoy their work and talents displayed in the Pastry Shop 7:30am - 6:00pm Monday through Saturday.

Éclairs
filled with pastry cream, dipped in tempered ganache and

French cream puff filled with chocolate pastry cream,
dipped in melted fondant and tempered ganache

Fruit Tartlets
tart shells brushed with ganache, filled with pastry cream
and topped with fresh fruits of the season

Chocolate Mousse
one of our signature pastries, chocolate mousse atop
chocolate roulade, covered with pate glace chocolate
and sprinkled with toasted hazelnuts

White Chocolate Bombe
creamy white chocolate mousse with
griottine cherries and white chocolate shavings

Vanilla Cake
three layers of vanilla chiffon sponge cake
with an apricot filling and vanilla buttercream

Chocolate Delice
three layers of rich chocolate cake with a thin layer of raspberry

Fresh Fruit Tart
sweet paste crust with raspberry, baked frangipane,
thin layer of pastry cream, finished with fresh seasonal fruit

Opera Torte
irresistible layers of semi-sweet chocolate, whipped ganache,
vanilla roulade, coffee buttercream and melted ganache

Velvet Torte
a chocolate lover's dream, layers of chocolate cake
with a chocolate filling, covered with chocolate buttercream and melted ganache

Cheesecakes
made in a variety of flavors, including raspberry, chocolate and fresh fruit
