South Africa's Darling Cellars Wine Tasting
South Africa is now producing some of the world's most exciting wines. On Saturday evening, Sept. 23, Walnut Hill College's Community Education Department will host a tasting featuring one of South Africa's best wineries, Darling Cellars.
Danie de Kock, Marketing Manager of Darling Cellars, will be bringing us all of Darling's top wines, their Onyx range. These wines have been highly praised by reviews such as Steve Tanzer, of the International Wine Cellar, who has called the wines "lush," and "super-concentrated." Our tasting will include the 2004 Sauvignon Blanc, the 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2003 Shiraz, the 2002 Pinotage, and the 2002 Kroon (a Shiraz/ Pinotage blend).
The tasting will be held in Room C104 of Walnut Hill College's Hospitality Center, on 41st St., just below Walnut St. The tasting will begin at 7:30 p.m., and admission is $25, payable in advance.
